Israeli bombing kills at least 13 Palestinian refugees in Lebanon
Lebanon’s Ministry of Health said at least 13 people died today in an Israeli bombing of a Palestinian refugee camp on the outskirts of the city of Sidon. The Israeli army said it attacked a training camp for the Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas.
The bombing hit “the Ain al Helweh camp”, on the outskirts of Sidon, said the Lebanese ministry, which reported 13 dead and added that “ambulances continue to transport the injured to hospitals”. The national agency NNA pointed out that an “Israeli drone attacked a car in a parking lot” at the Khalid bin al-Walid mosque.
The bombing also hit the mosque and a center of the same name, the NNA added shortly after. Israel continues bombing Lebanon despite a ceasefire agreed in November 2024 to end more than a year of hostilities with Hezbollah.
