Lula about Trump: “If he charges 50% of us, we will charge 50% of him”
President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva said in an interview with TV Record on Thursday (10) that his government will adopt the same commercial fares of the United States as US President Donald Trump impusser over Brazil.

On the day before Lula published on his social network, Trump said the US will adopt 50% commercial tariff on imports of all Brazilian products from August 1, citing Brazilian court decisions that he considers unfair against former President Jair Bolsonaro and against US-based technology giants.
In the interview, according to R7, Lula also said that Brazil can resort to the World Trade Organization (WTO) against Trump’s tariffs.
“We have several ways. We can resort to the WTO (World Trade Organization), propose international investigations, charge explanations. But the main one is the law of reciprocity, approved in Congress,” said Lula, according to the portal.
