Moraes allows Val to participate in Senate sessions beyond 19h
Minister Alexandre de Moraes of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) authorized Senator Marcos do Val (Somos-ES) to go beyond 19h for night payment if this is necessary to participate in Senate sessions.
For this, the senator should justify within 24 hours the stay in the Senate beyond 19h, according to the decision of the minister.
Val was targeted on Monday (4) of precautionary measures imposed by Moraes, such as the use of electronic anklet and the night collection between 19h and 6h, as well as on weekends and holidays, among others.

Datafolha: 61% refuse to vote for candidate with promise to amstying Bolsonaro

The new measures were imposed after the senator traveled to the United States. For Moraes, with this the senator violated the STF’s determination not to leave the country. The parliamentarian claims that he reported the trip and that there was no risk of escape.
The Order of Moraes also determined the seizure of the diplomatic passport used by the parliamentarian to leave the country.
After the new precautionary measures, Val stated, in a statement, that they “prevent the full exercise of their mandate.” It is common, for example, that Senate commissions and plenary sessions occur beyond 19h.
The text adds that the senator is not a defendant or convicted of any crime. “The defense of the parliamentarian follows the case closely and will adopt the appropriate legal measures to guarantee full respect for constitutional rights and guarantees guaranteed to any citizen, in particular to a senator in full exercise of his mandate,” says the note.
The senator is investigated by the Supreme Court for the alleged campaign of social media attacks against Federal Police delegates who were responsible for investigations involving supporters of former President Jair Bolsonaro. He is also suspected of architecting a plan to nullify the 2022 elections.
