Research shows that Trump’s approval melted in 100 days

The approval of US President Donald Trump has already begun to melt. A survey by the Ipsos Institute in conjunction with the newspaper Washington Post and the ABC News TV network, released on Sunday (27) showed that Donald Trump is the US president with the worst approval at 100 days in office in 80 years.
Only 39% approve Trump, against 55% that disapprove. About 5% did not respond.

The study listened to 2,464 adults, between April 18 and 22, 2025, in English and Spanish. A portion of 30% of respondents declared themselves as Democrat, 30% as a republican and 29% claim to be independent.
About 73% said the US economy is bad and 53% says it has worsened since Trump took office. Another 41% said their personal finances got worse.
Another study, this time commissioned by CNN, showed similar numbers. Republican approval has been at 41%, having plummeted four points since March and seven this February. This is the lowest index for a 100 -day president, since the administration of Dwight Eisenhower, who ruled the United States from 1953 until 1961. The CNN survey listened to 1678 voters across the United States, from April 17 to 24 this year.

President Trump ran to announce this week that this week will release a major bill to celebrate 100 days, with strict security measures at borders and renovations in public spending. Trump wants to turn Tuesday (29) into one of the milestones of his mandate. But it will have to do much more to prevent new falls, in the face of the tariff war started by its government, which put the whole market in a policy.
