Resistant to leave Ministry, União Brasil opens process to expel Celso Sabino
União Brasil opened a process of expulsion against the Minister of Tourism, Celso Sabino, after its resistance to leaving the government of President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva (PT). The measure occurs after the deadline given by the Federation formed by PP and União Brasil to exhale to all affiliates to hand over their positions on the Esplanade. The investigation is from CNN Brazil.
Despite showing off a letter of resignation to Lula last week, Sabino signaled that he would only leave office after completing a series of works to deliver works linked to COP30, scheduled for November in Belém (PA), his electoral base.

The minister was notified and has until this Friday (3) to present prior defense. The opinion is expected to be presented next Wednesday (8) and, according to the station’s investigation, should recommend the expulsion if Sabino does not officialize the departure of office by Monday (7).
Sabino’s permanence in the government exposes the internal division in União Brasil, a party that tries to consolidate independence position in relation to the Planalto Palace.
