Centro-right, from the current Prime Minister, wins elections in Portugal
Abstention fell compared to last year’s election. The absence of voters in the legislature was in 35.67% – NLast year, it totaled 40.16%. White and null votes were 1.44% and 0.99%, respectively.
Direct grows, while left loses chairs. In the 2024 elections, the Socialist Party had won 78 mandates-now there is 58. Meanwhile, the right and center-right grew: compared to last year, AD and the arrival elected nine and eight new representatives, respectively.
Luís Montenegro was already leading the latest electoral polls. Headed by the current Premier, the coalition Ad (Democratic Alliance) of the PSD and CDs It appeared in the latest projections with about 34% of voting intentions. Following, the Socialist Party (27%) and arrives (15.2%) appeared.

Portugal had three elections in three years
The Portuguese went to the polls for the third time since 2023. The early election took place after President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa dissolves Parliament in action motivated by the loss of confidence of Luís Montenegro himself.
