Lula embarks this Tuesday on official visits to India and South Korea

President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva leaves tomorrow, at 10 am, for official visits that he will carry out between the 18th and 24th, in India and South Korea. A stop to refuel the aircraft will be made in Tunisia, according to information on the agenda released by Planalto.

The trip to India is in return for Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Brazil in July, during the BRICS summit. In New Delhi, the capital of India, Lula will participate on Thursday (19) in the artificial intelligence summit. It will be the first time that a Brazilian president will participate in a high-level global event on AI. The presence of 40 thousand people from 50 countries is expected during the event.

Lula’s agenda in India also foresees new opportunities for bilateral cooperation, especially in economic, tourism, agricultural, energy and sustainable terms, continuing the agreements signed between the two countries during Modi’s visit last year.

South Korea

Between Sunday (22) and Tuesday of next week (24), Lula will fulfill an official schedule in Seoul, South Korea, at the invitation of President Lee Jae Myung. The agenda in Korea includes the adoption of a three-year action plan (2026-2029) to strengthen relations between the countries towards a strategic partnership. The objective is to attract new Korean investments in the areas of technology, agriculture and cosmetics.

Opportunity with security!

Both in India and South Korea, Lula will participate in a series of business forums and meetings aimed at strategic strengthening with Asian countries.

Among the meetings, the Brazil-India Business Forum is planned in New Delhi, which will be attended by more than 300 Brazilian companies, in addition to panels that will deal with topics such as critical minerals, energy transition, environmental security and family farming. In Seoul, the Brazil-Korea Business Forum will bring together 230 Brazilian companies for opportunities for economic and commercial dialogues.
