Eduardo Bolsonaro says Moraes blocked his and his wife’s accounts and cites persecution
Former federal deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro (PL-SP) stated this Tuesday, 24, that minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), ordered the blocking of his bank accounts and the accounts of his wife, Heloísa Bolsonaro.
In a post on social media, he said that the minister’s intention is to “financially asphyxiate” his family and that the measure compromises the support of his children, “just 5 and 2 years old”.

The publication came one day after Moraes authorized the Federal Police to use evidence from the criminal investigation against Eduardo in an administrative disciplinary process (PAD) that could result in his dismissal from his position as the corporation’s clerk.
In the decision, handed down on Monday, the 23rd, the minister stated that sharing is “reasonable, appropriate and pertinent”.
Eduardo has been in self-exile in the United States for about a year. As published in Estadão, his mandate as federal deputy was revoked in December 2025 by the Board of Directors of the Chamber, due to excessive absences. In January, the PF ordered his immediate return to his position as clerk, in Angra dos Reis (RJ). As he did not present himself, the PF Regional Inspectorate in Rio de Janeiro opened PAD due to signs of abandonment of his position and preventively removed him from his duties in February. On March 16, the corporation published a notice of summons on Official Gazette of the Uniongiving Eduardo 15 days to present his defense.
In the post, the former deputy referred to Moraes as “D. Pedro III” and stated that he is not receiving a salary as a clerk and cited the amount of “almost R$ 20 thousand”. He also mentioned contracts worth R$129 million attributed to the minister’s wife in a contract with Master, and calculated that “it would be necessary to work for more than 537 years” in the PF to reach an equivalent figure.
The former deputy said he feared that a possible conviction for administrative misconduct would make him ineligible for eight years. And he also mentioned the case of former president Dilma Rousseff as a counterpoint.
“If I were convicted of administrative improbity, unlike what happened with Dilma Rousseff, I would be ineligible for 8 years. Therefore, the intention is clear: to withdraw from political life”, he declared.
Moraes had already ordered the blocking of Eduardo’s assets, bank accounts and Pix keys in July 2025, as part of the investigation investigating the articulation of sanctions by the United States government against Brazilian authorities. At the time, Eduardo’s wife also reported having had accounts blocked. It was unclear whether Tuesday’s post referred to that ruling or a new court order.
Eduardo is a defendant in the STF for coercion during the process, accused of acting in the USA to pressure the Brazilian Judiciary on the eve of the coup plot trial, in which his father, former president Jair Bolsonaro, was convicted. Eduardo’s defense maintains that his actions constitute an exercise of freedom of expression.
