Leo XIV begins his farewell to Uruguay and prepares his arrival in Argentina where millions of faithful await him.
Pope Leo XIV will end his stay in Uruguay this Sunday with a Eucharistic celebration in the city of Florida, during the festival of the Virgin of the Thirty-Three, considered the nation’s patron saint. After that religious meeting, he will embark on a trip to Argentina, the second destination on his tour of Latin America.
The Holy Father arrived in the neighboring country on November 6 and will conclude his stay with a ceremony at the national sanctuary dedicated to that Marian dedication. Later, the official farewell will take place, before their air transfer to Buenos Aires.
During his stay in Argentine territory, the head of the Catholic Church will visit Buenos Aires, Córdoba and Luján. The schedule includes liturgical celebrations, meetings with different sectors of society and an audience with President Javier Milei. Finally, he will continue his journey through Peru, where he will develop the third and final stage of his Latin American tour.
