In which states the US election is already virtually decided
Election will be defined by ‘purple states’
Kamala and Trump are practically tied in seven “purple states”those who oscillate between candidates depending on the election. The biggest advantage belongs to Trump, in Arizona, around two percentage points ahead, but still tied with his opponent within the margin of error, according to the ABC News compilation.
Kamala has leads of less than a percentage point in Michigan and Wisconsin. By the same margin, Trump also leads in North Carolina, Georgia, Nevada and Pennsylvania. In all cases, candidates tie within the margin of error
The two prioritized Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania in their campaigns, states that have been decisive in recent years. In seven of the last eight presidential elections, Democrats won all three states. The exception was 2016, with Trump victories.
Every vote counts. In Trump’s election in 2016, he won Pennsylvania by less than a percentage point. Since 2008, the candidate who wins Pennsylvania wins the presidential election.
