Man arrested after trying to enter the Chamber with revolver ammunition

A man was arrested in the Chamber of Deputies, this Tuesday (10), after trying to enter the House’s premises with 30 pistol ammunition.

According to the website Metropolisesthe man would be a servant at the Ministry of Health and tried to enter the federal Legislative building through Annex 4, carrying the ammunition through a piece of brown paper. The package would be sent by Post to Rio de Janeiro (RJ).

The material was also detected in the X-ray, at the Chamber entrance. The man was taken to the police station and arrested red-handed. He may be charged with the crime of illegal possession of ammunition, which carries a penalty of 2 to 4 years, in addition to a fine.

Last month, Francisco Wanderley Luiz, known as Tiü França, visited the Chamber hours before committing an attack using bombs in front of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) building.

He visited Annex 4 early in the morning, went to the bathroom and left. No bomb was found on the premises of the House.
