Iran complains against Trump in the UN for reckless and belligerent comments’
Iran has complained to the United Nations Security Council on Monday about the comments “reckless and belligerents” of US President Donald Trump, describing them as “a blatant violation of international law” and the United Nations Charter.
Trump threatened Iran on Sunday with bombing and secondary tariffs if Tehran did not reach an agreement with Washington about his nuclear program.
In a letter, seen by Reuters, the UN ambassador to the UN, Amir Saeid Iravani, wrote that the Iranian government “warns strongly against any military adventure and will respond quickly and decisively to any act of aggression or attack from the United States or its ally, the Israeli regime, against its sovereignty, territorial integrity, or national interests.”
