Since the inauguration, Trump government has arrested 113,000 migrants and deported 100,000

By comparing the deportations, the Trump government also surpasses Biden over the same period last year. ICE data indicate that 67,749 migrants were deported between January and March 2024. In total, 271,484 deportations made by Biden during the 2024 fiscal year.

The number of illegal crossings in March this year fell 94% compared to the same period last year. In March 2024, 137,000 people crossed, against 7,000 in March 2025.

Recently, Trump used an 18th century law to deport alleged gang members. The 1798 Foreign Enemies Act was used on March 15 to deport 238 alleged members of the “Tren de Aragua” group and another 23 of the “Mara Salvatrucha” gang, which were sent to the maximum security arrest in El Salvador. A federal judge suspended the use of the law, and Trump appealed to the Supreme Court for the suspension to be closed.
