During the campaign, Hugo Motta will meet with the Agricultural Front and state benches

The candidate for president of the Chamber of Deputies, deputy Hugo Motta (Republicanos-PB), will have meetings with the Agricultural Parliamentary Front (FPA) and state benches this Tuesday (3).
Motta has lunch with parliamentarians from the agricultural bench at noon. On that occasion, the members of the front will present priority agendas, such as “environmental reciprocity” projects, the containment of land invasions and Rural Insurance.
A discussion on tax reform is also planned, with a report expected to be presented next week.
Before that, in the morning, Motta has a one-hour meeting scheduled for 10:30 am with the group of deputies from Ceará, at the Republican headquarters, in Brasília.
At 2:30 pm, Motta receives the bench from Goiás. A meeting is still being negotiated with parliamentarians from Maranhão and other states that have not yet confirmed. To date, the candidate has met with 17 parties and 13 state benches.
Motta’s candidacy has the declared support of the majority of parties in the Chamber from PT to PL. His previous opponents, Elmar Nascimento (União-BA) and Antonio Brito (PSD-BA), gave up their campaigns and announced their support for the deputy from Paraíba.
So far, only PSOL has launched an independent candidacy with pastor Henrique Vieira (RJ). The election in the Chamber is scheduled for February 2025.
