Gleisi accuses Flávio of acting against Brazil on a trip to the USA
The Minister of Institutional Relations, Gleisi Hoffmann, reacted to the participation of senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ) in the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), in the United States, and stated that the pre-candidate for the Presidency acts against Brazil’s interests abroad.
In a post on social media this Saturday (28), Gleisi said that Flávio and former deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro (PL-SP) went to the country to swear “oaths of subservience” to President Donald Trump. According to the minister, the two “can’t even disguise that their project is to hand over the country to foreign interests”.
The criticism also mentions Eduardo Bolsonaro’s position in relation to trade measures adopted by the United States. For Gleisi, the former deputy’s support for increasing tariffs against Brazilian products reinforces the thesis of political alignment with external interests.

The statements come after Flávio’s speech at CPAC, the main event of the American right, held in Texas. In a speech lasting around 16 minutes, the senator criticized the government of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) and addressed issues of public security and foreign policy.
At the event, Flávio stated that the Brazilian government had acted to prevent criminal organizations from being classified as terrorists by the United States.
Without naming groups by name, the senator mentioned the two largest cartels in the country and said that there was “strong lobbying” by the Brazilian government with American authorities to avoid this designation.
Flávio also stated that the current government adopts an “openly anti-North American” stance and criticized the president’s statements about reducing global dependence on the dollar.
