Janja calls Nisia a friend and says she worked a ‘head up’

Former Minister spared Lula and criticized the press. On Wednesday the minister spoke quickly for the first time about her resignation: “The process of frying in the press is inconceivable, this should not happen, should not anticipate decisions that fit the president,” she said, upon arriving at the ministry.
Nisia will be replaced by Alexandre Padilha, who will leave the institutional relations portfolio. The exchange begins the ministerial reform that the petista will promote in his cabinet – Nísia, who has been in charge of health since the beginning of the government in 2023, is the fifth chief of ministry dismissed by Lula, and the third woman to lose office on the terrace (all were replaced by men).
The minister’s departure occurs after pressure from the congress. Of academic and technical historical, Nisia is criticized by parliamentarians for a supposed lack of political traquejo, especially when releasing funds.
The resignation was expected, but the minister has been frying in recent weeks. As in other situations, Lula took a long time to make the announcement after months of speculation, which follow as they are waiting (and parties press for) a broader ministerial reform.
The change occurred on the same day Nisia announced the president of the Brazilian vaccine against dengue. She was cheered by the servers present at the event. In a farewell climate, she was the first to speak, asked the secretaries to rise, to be applauded – what was made widely, except Lula, visibly in a bad mood.
Contrary to the resignation, Janja complained about the questions of journalists to her husband. It has been a public criticism of Lula’s exchanges of women by men in ministry – the third time it happens.
