Lula government assessment remains stable, says Datafolha

The assessment of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva’s government has remained stable since July, showed a Datafolha survey released this Friday, with indices showing slight changes within the margin of error of 2 percentage points plus or minus.
Carried out between the 7th and 8th of October, the survey shows that 36% of those interviewed approve of the PT administration, considering it “excellent” or “good”. In July, this portion corresponded to 35%.
The 33% who rated the government as “bad” or terrible in July increased to 32% in October. Those who rate Lula’s administration as “regular” fluctuated from 30% in July to 29% in October.
Lula’s assessment is similar to that seen during the same period of former president Jair Bolsonaro’s term in office — 37% approval, 34% disapproval and 27% regular, already under the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The assessment of the economic situation follows the same line of stability, with 41% considering that it has worsened in recent months and 26% considering that it has improved. When the interviewee’s own economic situation is questioned, it improved for 28%, worsened for 26% and remained the same for 45%.
The survey interviewed 2,029 people in 113 municipalities, on Monday and Tuesday of this week. The margin of error is 2 points, plus or minus.
