Scientists discover human species extinct 50,000 years ago in China
Teeth impressed scientists. They point out that the teeth of Homo juluensis have similarities to those of the Denisovans, another human group discovered in Siberia in 2008, which could identify them as members of the new species. “One of the things that always stood out about the Denisova molars was that they were quite large. The Xujiayao molars of our type specimen are also quite large,” they pointed out.
The East Asian record is causing us to recognize how complex human evolution is more generally and really forcing us to revise and rethink our interpretations of various evolutionary models to better match the growing fossil record.

Fossils were found in the 1970s. The researchers analyzed fossils from 16 specimens, found alongside thousands of artifacts, stone tools and animal bones between 1976 and 1979. Although the fossils were found decades ago, it is only now that they have been proposed to be part of another species.
Although we started this project several years ago, we did not expect to be able to propose a new species of hominin (human ancestor) and then be able to organize the hominid fossils of Asia into different groups. Ultimately, this should help with communication scientific.
