Brazilian government and government technicians have closed an agreement not to retaliate the United States for the overcutments imposed on steel and seek agreement. As the column learns, the decision was made in a series of meetings held between yesterday and today and will depend on the evolution of rhetoric adopted by US President Donald Trump.

The goal is to let the subject “decant” and try to restore the quota agreement, which has been in force from 2018 so far, through diplomatic contacts in both countries and the performance of the private sector in the US Congress.

“It doesn’t fit bravata at this time. You have to let the dust down,” a source told the column. “There is no pragmatic gain in a conflict. The decision of the overcrowders has been made to all countries in the world.”
