Suspected of killing Democrat is detained and had abortion clinics as a target
The suspect of killing a democratic parliamentarian and her husband between Friday and Saturday, Vance Boelter, was finally detained in Minnesota, 43 hours after the crime. Political murder had further raised tension in a country that lives a deep crack in society and the political class. Boelter had a notebook that mentioned about 70 potential targets, including politicians, human rights activists, and clinics employees who provided abortion services to women.
Boelter, 57, was placed under police custody on Sunday after a search that lasted two days and mobilized hundreds of men. He is the main suspect for killing Deputy Melissa Hortman and her husband, Mark, as well as injuring state senator John A. Hoffman and his wife. The senator, however, survived.
The suspicion of the police was that the shooter was still planning an attack on protesters who, on Saturday, went to the streets to protest Trump. In your state, the acts were canceled.
