Trump says ‘don’t play’ when he talks about possible 3rd term

“We are still almost four years old, it’s a long time, but despite that, many people say I have to apply again. They love our work.”

A few hours earlier, during a call to NBC, he received the request to clarify the comments about a new presidential term and said, “I’m not kidding. There are methods by which this can be done.”

Trump began his second presidency with an unprecedented wave of decrees and has used the richest man in the world, Elon Musk, to dismantle parts of the federal government. According to Trump, his followers want even more.

“A lot of people want me to do that,” Trump told NBC News. “But basically I tell them that we have a long way ahead, you know, it’s too early in administration.”

Reforming the United States Constitution to allow a third presidential term to need a majority of two thirds in both the House of Representatives and the Senate, numbers that the Republican Party does not have.

Trump stated that it is “very early to think about it,” but he assured the NBC that he was presented with plans that would allow him to seek reelection.
