Washington has drastically reduced foreign aid since Trump took office, with about 80% of the contracts cut abruptly to align with the new government’s “America First” policy.

The 281 pages document lists 898 programs that will remain active, totaling $ 78 billion in spending – much of which, according to the document, has already been disbursed.

The US government did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Gavi said US support for its operations is “vital”.

“With US support, we can save more than 8 million lives over the next 5 years and give millions of children a better chance of having a healthy and prosperous future,” he said in an X statement.
