While government prepares MP of cuts, resistance to the package increases in Congress

The Planalto Palace makes the last adjustments to send to Congress the provisional measure with the new fiscal adjustment, but already faces resistance from all sides, including government base parties, which reject excerpts from the proposal.
The president of the Parliamentary Front of Agriculture, Pedro Lupion (PP-PR), said that “the government’s proposal impairs GDP, harms those who produce and, therefore, the agro bench will not accept at all.” The main obstacle to the ruralist bench is the taxation of the agribusiness letter of credit (LCA) that helps finance agriculture and livestock. The proposal the government also proposes to tax the Letter of Real Estate Credit (LCI), which finances the construction.
In defense of the proposal, the government leader in the House, Deputy José Guimarães (PT-CE), said that the proposal is not yet approved or disapproved, that the time is for the Chamber to contribute once again to the country. “We are widely able to discuss the project and approve in negotiations with the house,” he added.

Hugo Motta says government needs to cut spending
Mayor Hugo Motta (Republicans-PB) warned that “in addition to the measures that have arrived in the House and Senate, the government also has to present the homework from the point of view of the spending cut.”
Motta stated that the latest measures were extremely badly received in Congress and the productive sector, and the government now has the opportunity to align an agenda that is good for the country.
For Motta, the government cannot solve the problem of accounts because it is always increasing spending. “We either control the expense or we will never have enough revenue to control the expenses that are increasingly increasing,” he added.
Haddad audience becomes chat
The House’s Inspection and Control Commission hearing to hear Minister Fernando Haddad’s proposals ended after clash with scholarship deputies.
“I came to Parliament with great disposition and interest in clarifying. The person asks a question, with wrong numbers and simply leaves before hearing the answer,” complained the minister after the end of the hearing.

Haddad remembered the disrespect also suffered by Minister Marina Silva in the Senate a few days ago. According to him, the deputies only ask questions to post on social networks and do not expect the answer.
PT leader Lindbergh Farias (RJ) also criticized the practice of deputies to ban the debate. But he believes that it is possible to make a serious debate, ideas, in Congress.
According to Farias, some sectors have very large mobilization power in Congress and this is legitimate. “It will be tough, but this is a debate that interests the country. When paying the bill, the richest need to contribute in some way,” argued the leader.
