Drauzio takes action against Meta for fake profiles: ‘Gang of forgers’
Drauzio does not advertise medicines or treatments. THE Facto News Check has already published several checks that manipulate the doctor’s image to offer suspicious treatments such as, among others, a supplement for premature ejaculation, a natural treatment to “de-swell” the prostate or even a supposed recipe for natural Viagra.
Drauzio says he feels for the family of the victim in the Suzy case
Varella explained that, in the 35 years he has been treating inmates in prisons, he has “never” hugged a prisoner because he understands “that this type of relationship between doctors and incarcerated patients is not appropriate.” However, in Suzy’s case, the doctor says that the episode was different because he was not there as a doctor, and that the hug was given at the end of the interview due to the way the prisoner looked at him.
We were doing a story for ‘Fantástico’. I wasn’t there as a doctor at that moment, and this girl was in prison, I didn’t know the crime she had committed (…) When the recording ended, she looked at me in a certain way, with a sadness in her eyes that moved me at that moment. , but the operator hadn’t turned off the camera… That wasn’t part of the conversation, and then what happened.
— Drauzio Varella
He stated that he was not upset by the criticism on social media, but by the family of the child who was exposed. “I was upset, not because of what they said, because it was a bunch of imbeciles, idiots, people for whom I don’t have the slightest respect. I was upset for the family of the child, the victim, because they had to go through this. I was hurt for the family, I didn’t want to include these people in something like that.”
