Biden visits and assesses damage from Hurricane Milton in Florida
The President of the United States, Joe Biden, arrived in Florida this Sunday (13) to assess the damage caused by Hurricane Milton, the second storm to hit the State in recent weeks, while increasing flooding, continued fuel shortages and power cuts of energy affect cleanup efforts.
Milton, which caused at least 17 deaths, added debris to the piles created by Hurricane Helene, with electricity and fuel still unavailable in many areas.
The president touched down in Tampa on Sunday morning to take an aerial tour of the affected areas on his way to St. Petersburg, where federal, state and local officials in St. Pete Beach will provide details of the situation.
