Musk defends $1 million prize draw for anyone who signs a conservative petition

What happened
The tycoon’s objective is to take draft amendments on freedom of expression and the right to carry weapons off paper. At the beginning of October, Musk had already announced an offer of US$47 (R$267) for those who engage. Afterwards, the billionaire increased the value to US$100 (R$568) and promised to hold daily draws worth millions.
Professor Brian Bauer, from Wisconsin, father of three, was one of the winners. He appeared alongside his family and with the $1 million check in hand. The petition remained live until last Monday (21). The goal was to reach one million voters. The offer and petition are only valid for Pennsylvania, Georgia, Nevada, Arizona, Michigan, Wisconsin and North Carolina, states considered decisive in the presidential election.
