Attack on police convoy leaves 10 dead in Iran; authorities investigate
An attack on a police convoy left 10 dead this Saturday (26) in southern Iran. Local authorities have not identified suspects, according to the Associated Press news agency. The incident comes shortly after Israel launched a major attack on the country this morning.
What happened
Ten Iranian police officers died after attack on convoy. The case took place in the village of Gohar Kuh, which is located between the provinces of Sistan and Baluchistan, in the south of the country — about 1,200 km southeast of the Iranian capital, Tehran.
Videos and photos show police officers’ bodies in the front seat of the truck. Images were posted by an advocacy group for the Baluch people of Afghanistan, Iran and Pakistan, HalVash.
