2016 audio in which Trump sexualizes women returns to haunt campaign
Yesterday Trump went further and said he will put Robert F. Kennedy in charge of women’s health. Kennedy was a third independent candidate in the elections, he was once a Democrat and has now given up to support Trump. His record: he is against vaccines and was against abortion (only changed due to the election).
White women
And why are both campaigns going after white women’s votes? Because they are the largest demographic group of voters in the United States. They represent around 30% of the entire electorate. The problem is that they seem attracted to Trump. In 2016, 47% of white women voted for Trump (yes, even with the pussy audio) and only 45% for Hillary (who ran a campaign entirely based on “I’m a woman”).
And what happened in 2020? Trump won the vote of 53% of white women. Biden had 46%.
Kamala’s hope is that the issue of abortion and women’s reproductive rights will make a difference this time. Trump was responsible for the appointment of conservative supreme ministers who took away women’s national rights to have an abortion (each state started to have specific legislation and several started to ban abortion).
I’ve said it here several times, but I’ll say it again. What happens in real life (to give just one example) is that women who are having miscarriages are not treated in hospitals because abortion is prohibited and they simply die. Reality has set in and that is why in this election, voters are wanting candidates in favor of abortion. Even Trump started to say that he is in favor in some cases (but in that not very firm way).
