For Bolsonaro, Trump will send aircraft carriers from the Southern Command to fork Xandão
With that conceptual coarseness on any subject, which his enthusiasts see as authenticity, he dared, so to speak, to reason. In an interview with Folha, he put the brains to fry and produced this gem:
“If Trump invites me, I will petition the TSE (Superior Electoral Court), the STF. Now, with all due respect, the strongest man in the world… Do you think he will invite Lula? Maybe formally. Who Are you going to invite from Brazil? Maybe just me. Is he (Moraes) going to say ‘no’ to the most powerful guy in the world?
How it is? If, by then, his passport is not returned to him, and I don’t believe it will be, then the court would do so, with Moraes leading the vote, so as, what is it?, “not to get in trouble” with Trump… But which trouble? It is astonishing that a gentleman so surrounded by lawyers considers it a good idea, when making considerations about a judge and a court that he considers as adversaries, to attack precisely their independence, their autonomy and their courage to decide. He is saying, in other words: “Of course, Alexandre and the other ministers of the Class will be afraid of Trump.”
That fear that the ministers made fun of yesterday, in a kind of good-natured bet to know who would be the first to have their visa revoked.
I don’t know… It’s possible that well before that, the PF will conclude some investigations that will ask for new indictments, including Bolsonaro. There, linked to coup acts. Damn! The guy doesn’t forget anything or learn anything. Not even with the episode “X-Musk dos Foguetes”.
What is the bet? I already know. Trump will order the aircraft carrier USS George Washington, from the Fourth Fleet (Southern Command), to be deployed to arrest Moraes and other seditious ministers who join him. What if Brazil doesn’t deliver? Oh, I know: 60 years after “Operation Brother Sam”, the court’s subversives would see what’s good for coughing. In 1964, there was no need to take action. This time, it will be for real.
The most pathetic thing, in the sense in which the word is usually used, is to see people who aspire to some seriousness give rise to speculation about the supposed porosity of the STF to pressure emanating from Washington. The text ends here.
