One person died and others were injured after a shooting that occurred at Tuskegee University, in Alabama (USA) in the early hours of this Sunday (10). The information comes from the American TV network CBS.

What happened

University confirmed death, but did not give further details about shooters. In a statement obtained by the American channel, the institution reported that the victim did not belong to the university and that several other people were injured, including students, and were hospitalized. No details were provided about who or even how many were the shooters, and the Alabama state investigative agency is investigating the case, according to CBS.

Incident happened during the so-called “welcome” week. Common at American universities, these events bring together students, families and alumni in a series of events on university campuses. Tuskegee University is a traditional black university in the United States.
