Anti-vaccine and conspiracist: who is Kennedy in charge of Health in the USA
With an elite education, he is an environmentalist and anti-vaccine activist. With a bachelor’s degree from Harvard University and a doctorate in law from the London School of Economics, the candidate has always advocated for the defense of the environment, indigenous people and renewable energy sources. Since 2005, he has been spreading misinformation about vaccines and immunizers.
RFK Jr. is considered a “conspiracyist.” Several times he has compared vaccination to a “holocaust” and lied saying that vaccines “cause autism” in children. In 2021, Instagram suspended his account for “repeatedly sharing false information about Covid-19.”
Removal from Clan Kennedy was due to statements during the pandemic. In a 2022 speech, RFK Jr. suggested that distancing measures promoted by Joe Biden’s administration left Americans with less freedom than Jews in Nazi Germany. The statements were not well received by the rest of the family, who published a letter of rejection. He later apologized.
He said a worm ate part of his brain in 2012. RFK Jr. stated in a deposition that he discovered that a parasite entered his head, ate part of his brain and died spontaneously. To the New York Times, he stated that he had no consequences and even joked about the situation at X, offering to “eat 5 more brain worms and still beat President Trump and President Biden in a debate”.
“America great and healthy again,” says Trump
President-elect said he was “excited to announce” RFK Jr. as United States Secretary of Health and Human Services. “Mr. Kennedy will restore these agencies to the traditions of Gold Standard Scientific Research and beacons of transparency, to end the Chronic Disease epidemic and Make America Great and Healthy Again,” he wrote in a post in Truth Social.
