House of perpetrator of attack in Praça dos Três Poderes is set on fire in SC

The house of Francisco Wanderley Luiz, 59 years old, responsible for the explosions that occurred last week in Praça dos Três Poderes, was set on fire this Sunday (17), in Rio do Sul (SC), according to the Fire Department and the Civil Police.

The fire was caused by his ex-wife, Daiane Dias, aged 41, who lives in the property. She allegedly purchased the flammable product at a commercial establishment in the city, went to the residence and caused the fire, remaining inside the house.

She was left with 1st, 2nd and 3rd degree burns. The Fire Department is working on the hypothesis that the woman attempted suicide. Daiane was taken to a regional hospital. The Federal Police are also investigating what happened.

Attack

Known as “Tiu França”, Francisco Wanderley Luiz is considered responsible for the two explosions that occurred in Praça dos Três Poderes last week. The first took place in a vehicle parked in Annex IV of the Chamber of Deputies, and the second in front of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) building. He died when the explosives detonated.

On social media, the author attacked Lula and the STF and even “announced” the attack. In an interview with Agência Brasil, one of his five brothers said that he let himself be carried away by hatred. “A person with a weak mind, if they are not well centered, ends up letting themselves be carried away by hatred.”

Both the PF and the Civil Police of the Federal District opened investigations to investigate the case, which is being treated as a terrorist attack.
