Expectations for Trump mark the thousand days of the war between Russia and Ukraine
Ukraine will lose the war if the US cuts military funding, Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelensky assured on Tuesday (19). “If they cut, we will lose… I believe we will lose,” the Ukrainian told Fox News. “We’re going to fight. We have our production, but it’s not enough to win,” he added.
In yet another move against Trump, the Joe Biden government stated, this Wednesday (20), that it will supply landmines to Kiev. The measure provoked a reaction from Moscow and protests from NGOs that oppose the use of these weapons, capable of causing many injuries.
Exhausting war
After rapid initial advances by the Russians, the Ukrainians managed to contain the aggressors and force them to retreat, mainly on the northern border. Also in the south, Ukraine managed to push the Russian Army to the eastern side of the Dnipro River, the country’s largest.
In the summer of 2024, Kiev even launched successful attacks on Russian territory, in the Kursk region. In these actions, the Ukrainian military was, in part, supported by paramilitary groups.
