Brazil, Chile, Colombia and Mexico appeal against arms escalation between Ukraine and Russia
The governments of Brazil, Chile, Colombia and Mexico made an “urgent” appeal this Wednesday to avoid actions that could increase the scale of the armed conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
“The governments of Brazil, Chile, Colombia and Mexico make an urgent call to avoid actions that escalate the arms race and worsen the conflict between the Russian Federation and Ukraine”, says a joint statement made available by the Brazilian government.
“We urge all parties involved to comply with their international commitments and to prioritize dialogue and the search for peace in this region”, concludes the document.
