The Venezuelan government warned this Tuesday (26) that it will review its relations with the G7 countries, after they expressed support for the opponent Edmundo González Urrutia, who declares himself “elected president” of the country.

In a joint statement, the foreign ministers of the G7, made up of the United States, Canada, Italy, Germany, the United Kingdom, Japan and France, considered González the winner of the July 28 elections, in which President Nicolás Maduro was proclaimed re-elected for a third term. without presenting the detailed results of the investigation.

“Venezuela categorically rejects the absurd statement about the Venezuelan electoral and political process. They try, from the colonialist and imperialist complex, to prepare the ground for not recognizing the institutions and decisions of the Venezuelan people”, expressed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
