João Marinho Neto, de Maranguape (CE), tem 112 anos e é apontado como o homem mais velho do mundo

Since April, LongeviQuest has named João Marinho Neto as the oldest man in Latin America. Now, he is named as the oldest man in the world.

John Tinniswood, former holder of that title, died this Monday in England, aged 112. Born in Liverpool, he was recognized by Guinness World Records in April this year.

From the age of 100 to 110, John received birthday cards from Queen Elizabeth. She, who was 14 years younger than him, passed away in 2022.

John and João were born in the same year, 1912. Both survived two world wars and two global pandemics.

To Guinness World Records, John stated: “Either you live long or you live short, and there’s not much you can do about it.”
