Flávio de Castro está desaparecido em Paris

On the same day, the family learned that he was involved in an accident on the River Seine, near Café Les Ondes, close to the Eiffel Tower. Witnesses say that Flávio was admitted to Georges Pompidou Hospital at 6am, being released at noon. THE Facto News contacted the hospital, which declined to comment on the case for reasons of medical privacy.

Hospital staff told a friend that Flávio left well and conscious. “And indeed, after that, Flávio went to the agency (which rented his accommodation) personally, still with his clothes wet, to ask for an extension of another day of accommodation. Afterwards, he would have returned to this apartment, taken a shower and I started packing my suitcase, but after that we no longer have any contact”, reported Rafael Basso.

Despite asking for an extra day in the apartment, Flávio left his belongings there, including his passport. The agency called Flávio’s contact and asked him to collect his suitcase and documents.

Suitcase has not yet been opened. Flávio’s friends want to open the luggage in the presence of the police, who have not yet requested an examination of the contents. Flávio’s cell phone was found in a plant pot at Café Les Ondes by an employee, the day after the fall into the river.

Itamaraty says it is following the case. “The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, through the Consulate General of Brazil in Paris, is in contact with local authorities and provides consular assistance to the national’s family.”
