Groom who escaped fire in Thailand is ‘very shaken’

Fernando Ressurreição, 26, who escaped the fire in a hotel in Thailand last Sunday night (29), is admitted to a hospital in Bangkok and “very shaken”. His fiancee, doctor Carolina Canales, 24, died in the incident.

The Brazilian and Alagoas governments are working on a task force to provide assistance to the university student. While escaping, he jumped from a third-floor window and fractured his foot.

“Itamaraty already has a team at the hospital, he (Fernando Ressurreição) is being closely monitored. Fernando is physically stable, but very shaken by everything that happened. We are all helping with a humanized task force”, says the secretary of Federative and International Relations of the government of Alagoas, Hugo Leahy, who is following the case.
