Al Jazeera denounces Palestinian Authority decision to suspend its operations
Qatari broadcaster Al Jazeera denounced, this Thursday (2), a decision by the Palestinian Authority to suspend its broadcasts in the territories it partially administers, accusing it of trying to “hide reality” in the occupied West Bank.
The Palestinian Authority accused Al Jazeera on Wednesday of publishing content that encourages “disinformation” and “sedition”, according to official media outlets.
The official Wafa news agency said the decision to suspend broadcasts also entails “the temporary suspension of the work of all journalists, employees, teams and affiliated channels” until Al Jazeera “regulars its legal status.”
