Blizzard causes 95-car pileup in Kazakhstan
To date, 11 people have been rescued with head trauma and fractures. Among the victims are two children. There are still no details about the condition of the other people involved in the accident.
Local police isolated the highway and divided teams to work on the rescue. Machines are working on site to clear the road and reception points have been set up to warm up drivers who were involved in the pileup.

Blizzard hits the country
Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Internal Affairs issued a statement advising drivers to avoid long journeys in the country. The warning came after the pileup left dozens of victims and mobilized the country’s rescue forces. According to the agency, heavy snowfall is hitting the entire country, directly influencing the situation on highways.
“If you set out in icy, blizzard, snowy or foggy conditions, your journey may become challenging. Therefore, in this case, we recommend that you avoid long journeys. Wait for the weather to improve before risking your life or the lives of And if in this case you get stuck on the road: reduce speed, keep a safe distance, avoid speeding and overtaking, stop as close as possible to a village or safe place”, says the statement from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications of the Republic from Kazakhstan
