Civil Police demand arrest of PM who killed medical student in São Paulo
The São Paulo Civil Police concluded, last Friday (3), the investigation into the death of medical student Marco Aurélio Cardenas Acosta during a police stop.
The procedure was reported to the Court with a request for the preventive arrest of military police officer Guilherme Augusto Macedo, author of the shooting, for possible intentional homicide.

The incident that led to the student’s death took place around 2:50 am on November 20, on the steps of a hotel on Rua Cubatão, in Vila Mariana, south of the capital of São Paulo. The police officer had already been indicted in the Military Police Inquiry (IPM) for intentional homicide and remains away from activities, as did the PM who accompanied him on the day of the incident, informed the São Paulo Public Security Secretariat. According to the ministry, the police authority is awaiting a response from the Judiciary.
