US will continue to ‘promote peace through strength’, says Trump after ceasefire

The president-elect of the United States, Donald Trump, celebrated the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas and pointed out that it “only happened” due to his victory in the presidential elections in November last year.

What happened

US will prevent Gaza from becoming “safe haven for terrorists” again, says Trump. The president-elect stated that his National Security team will work with Israel to promote “peace through strength” in the Middle East. “This is just the beginning of great things to come for America and, indeed, the world!” completed.

“My administration will seek peace”, says president-elect. Trump wrote that he will negotiate agreements to “ensure the safety of all Americans and our allies,” and that he is pleased to see Israeli and American hostages returned to their homes.
