Former Trump advisor compares Moraes to Nazi judges: ‘He needs to be removed from office’

The statements were made during a lunch organized by Bannon, which brought together members of the delegation of Brazilian parliamentarians who are in the United States to attend Trump’s inauguration ceremony, scheduled for this Monday, the 20th.
“At War Room (a political commentary program run by Steve Bannon), we are here to take action, and the international sovereignty community is ready to support you in any way. We had people confirmed for this event. More than 2 thousand people want to see Bolsonaro today. Everyone wants to come here to see President Bolsonaro”, he added.
Bolsonaro tried to attend Trump’s inauguration, but had his passport refund request denied by Moraes, who is the rapporteur of the inquiry investigating the former president’s alleged participation in an attempted coup d’état after the 2022 elections. Since February 2024, his passport has been seized by decision of Moraes as part of Operation Tempus Veritatis.
Bannon also criticized President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, accusing him of “selling the Amazon” and “corruption”. “He is betraying Brazilians right now, selling the Amazon to the Chinese Communist Party,” he said.
