Putin says Kiev doesn’t want to organize conversation to end Ukraine war
Ukraine could find a legal way of maintaining peace negotiations with Russia to end the war of almost three years, but Moscow sees no willingness from Kiev for it, said Russian President Vladimir Putin today.
Putin told the Russian state television station that negotiations with Ukraine were complicated by the “illegitimacy” of the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy to remain in power beyond his mandate, with no authority to sign documents.
“But essentially, if they want to proceed, there is a nice way to do that. Let the president of the Rada (Ukrainian parliament) deal with the matter according to the Constitution,” Putin told reporter Pavel Zarubin, who accompanies Kremlin.
