Mexican mother and daughter: Who were the victims of the plane crash in Philadelphia

Number of dead rose to seven on the last day. Initially, the death of six people who were aboard the plane had been reported at the time of the accident, but on Saturday, another person, who was in a car in the region where the plane crashed, had the death confirmed by Philadelphia mayor Cherelle Parker. She warned that the number of fatal victims may still increase and that 19 others near the accident site were injured.

In the flight of the flight were pilot, co-pilot, paramedic and doctors. They have not yet had their identity released by the country’s official authorities.

One of them, however, was identified by a medical transport company. XE Medical Ambulances, a Mexican company that provides emergency air services, reported that professional Raúl Meza was part of his team and was on the plane. According to the company, he was a pediatrician with training in neonatology from the National Institute of Pediatrics of Mexico.

“He was brilliant,” said colleague about Meza. In an interview with The New York Times, Fernando Avilés, a medical XE supervisor said, thrilled, that the doctor “loved to guide young doctors about his careers” and was known as “everyone” among the neonatology pediatrician community.

Pediatrician provided services to different companies. Also according to Avilés, the victim worked for other aerial emergency service companies as part of the flight crew. “Usually, whenever we had a complex or newborn pediatric case, he wanted to participate,” said the colleague. “He didn’t care if it wasn’t for his shift, always asked to go with the team, especially in the case of the little ones,” he told NYT.

About the accident

Medical rescue plane caught fire, crashed and exploded in a residential area moved in Philadelphia.
