Romeu Zema publishes video eating banana with shell and recommends an idea to save money

The governor of Minas Gerais, Romeu Zema (Novo), surprised his followers by publishing on Instagram social network a video in which he eats banana with shell. According to the chief executive of Minas Gerais, the experience was not good, but had a nutritionist’s endorsement.

The recording, according to the governor, served to criticize the high price of food in Brazil. “It is not as good as (eating) the pure banana, but you can face these times when prices have fired,” he said in indirectly criticizing the government of Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva (PT).

Zema also encouraged the population to do the same. “It is the suggestion that can help,” he said.

Transport Minister Renan Filho (MDB) countered Zema’s video.

“I have respect for you (zema). But your social networks are increasingly teletubbies. Eating banana with peel to deal with inflation, politicizing even breakfast, is very fake, ”he said, in a recording released on social networks.
