Bolsonaro goes to the Senate for lunch of the opposition block

The former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) will go to a lunch organized by the opposition senators to the president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) This Tuesday, 18.

The lunch is organized by Wellington Fagundes (PL-MG), block leader, Rogério Marinho (PL-RN), opposition leader in the house, and by party leaders Carlos Portinho (PL-MG) and Eduardo Girão (Novo-CE) . The event takes place from 12:30 pm.

Bolsonaro is part of a relationship of 40 names implicated by the PF for an attempt to reverse the result of the 2022 presidential election. According to the PF, Bolsonaro “planned, acted and had the dominion” of the attempted institutional rupture. According to the inquiry, the coup was not consumed due to the “circumstances of others at will” of the then president.

The PF report states that the conspiracy acted on six fronts, nicknamed “nuclei.” The investigators identified the “misinformation” nuclei against the electoral system, “incitement” and “support” to scammer acts, “legal” assistance to breakage and “parallel intelligence” for the sake of the coup, besides a front dedicated to articulating each of the nuclei to the others.

Behind the scenes, it is evaluated that the analysis of the Attorney General’s Office (PGR) regarding the PF report is in the final stretch. Paulo Gonet is expected to submit the complaint to the Court in the coming days. Because it is a criminal action, both the admissibility of the complaint and its eventual judgment will be the responsibility of the first class of the Supreme Court.
