Lula says he will visit France in June at the invitation of Macron

President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva said on Tuesday that he will make a state visit to France on June 6 and 7, at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron.

The two talked by telephone on Tuesday, when they dealt with topics of the global agenda and bilateral relations, Lula said in a publication in X.

“I accepted his invitation to a state visit to France on June 6 and 7, as well as to participate in the United Nations Conference on Oceans on June 8 and 9,” Lula said in the publication.

The presidents also talked about the war in Ukraine, the COP30, the UN summit about climate change this year in Belém, and the support of the French in expanding climate financing, Lula added.
