Papa Francisco presents ‘light improvement’ and has a quiet night, says Vatican
Pope Francis had a “quiet night” and already “got up,” said the Vatican on the morning of Thursday (20). He is hospitalized because of a respiratory tract infection. On Tuesday (18), a tomography revealed bilateral pneumonia.
What happened
Francisco presented “stable” clinical conditions with “a slight improvement, especially in the inflammatory rates” of blood tests evaluated by the medical team, according to the newsletter last night. He read newspapers in the morning and carried out work activities at Gemelli Hospital in Rome, Italy.
Pope took the afternoon to meet with the Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. They talked privately for 20 minutes.
