HEALTH CHANGES
Behind the scenes, the departure of the Minister of Health, Nísia Trindade, is seen as practically certain by petistas of different currents. The current Minister of Institutional Relations, Alexandre Padilha, is one of those listed to replace it. The exchange would meet a demand from the center, which presses for more space in the government and wants to indicate a proper name for the command of the political articulation.
Another change considered imminent is the entry of the PT president, Gleisi Hoffmann, at the General Secretariat of the Presidency, in place of Márcio Macêdo. The movement would reinforce the party’s presence in the Esplanade of Ministries and pave the way for the PT’s internal succession, as Gleisi should leave the command of the acronym.
There is no official date for the announcement of the ministerial reform, but the president’s assistants believe the changes will be confirmed in the coming weeks.
